Contracted to City of Birmingham Department of Revenue. Assignment was to maintain and enhance the Uniformed License and Tax Accounting System (ULTRA). This system was written in COBOL and IMS, utilizing CICS online transactions. Expeditor, VSAM and JCL were also used. User acceptance testing and system integration testing were also part of my responsibilities. Due to evolving technology, Birmingham planned to replace this system in the future. Therefore a large part of my responsibility was to document how the system currently worked.
