The Net Sales Reporting data is used for the Rebate System. The Rebate System is used to process the yearly member stores rebates. The Store History Reporting System which is used for historical invoice reporting. The Loan Accounting System which is used track and bill the company loans to the member stores. The Accounts Payable Reporting System which is used for quick indexed lookups of A/P information. I also developed a general reporting program and some stand alone Crystal Reports for specific user requests.
As the SQL Database Administrator, I created and maintained production SQL Databases, SQL Scheduled Jobs and DTS packages. I also did some of the initial testing for the SQL 2005 Server conversion project. And did some testing of different versions of Linux as a possible database server platform.

Chicago, IL March 1998 to January 2001 Sr. Systems Analyst
I acted as the MIS Manager, Network Administrator, Programmer / Analyst, and PC Specialist for this company. I made most of the decisions regarding the company network, servers, PC’s and software.
As the Network Administrator, I designed and setup the entire company network. Our main server is a Dell PE 4300 using a RAID 50 configuration running NT Server 4.0. There was also a Firewall Server running Checkpoint Firewall-1 and an Internet Mail Server running Sendmail. All the PC’s were Dell Intel-based systems running MS Windows 95, 98, 2000 or NT Workstation. The entire network, including the printers, was Fast Ethernet (100Base-T) using the TCP/IP network protocol.
As the Programmer / Analyst, I was responsible for developing and maintaining the main Risk Systems and the five other systems that either feed data into Risk or did other reporting from Risk. All these systems were developed in MS FoxPro 2.6 for Windows. I developed other internal systems written in MS Visual Basic and SQL Server. The first system was the SGAI Control System. This system will give the users one entry point to access the rest of the SGAI systems. It will also provide tracking and reminders for anything that had to done on a regular schedule. The main system for SGAI was the AMS System (Analytical Management System) for analyzing CTA (Certified Trade Advisor) performance. Another system was the Subscription & Redemption System. This was a database system for tracking the subscriptions and redemptions entered for a given fund.
As the PC Specialist, I setup and maintain the servers, PC’s and printers. This included installing the operating systems, standard desktop software, all utility software (backup, anti-virus, communications, etc.) and any user specific software.

This included a C++ program used to read the scale and automatically enter data into the MP Scale program. I also converted all the internally developed FoxBASE systems to FoxPro for integration into SBT.
I also worked as the Network Administrator and Hardware Technician. The main systems were an ALR SMP running SCO UNIX, a Windows NT 3.51 custom server running the Payroll and HR systems, and the MIS Development Server running NT 4.0 and MS Visual Source Safe for program version control and development.
