- Tasked with taking a “ Confidential ” into 30+ Cobol based systems in support of a systems modernization project.
- This involved analyzing programs, jobs, cataloged procedures, reports and interfaces; much of which had been developed over the past 40 years.
- These 30+ systems were the culmination of what made up the Confidential payroll system.

- Up to this point Hartford had Confidential software installed on their machine and was responsible for support and maintenance; this project moved those functions back to the vendor, basically outsourcing the support of the application to Confidential .

- Played a key role in the migration of five insurance applications from Fortis Financial Group to Confidential ’s mainframe.
- The project team was tasked with migrating all programs, jobs, files, batch schedules, online environments, and DB2, IMS and VSAM databases.
- Confidential required that all programs, several thousand, be recompiled or assembled on their system and tested.
- This posed one of the biggest challenges because many of the programs were 30+ years old and some no longer had source or hadn’t been compiled or assembled in years.
