Employment History from September 1992 - Present

Current position: Architect - FX Business Reporting Systems since April 2011 to June 16, 2011.
Client: Confidential, Boston
Currently involved in multiple FX projects in the capacity of a technology architect as well as Business Analyst to understand and document the processes and functional flows in StateStreet FX business domain.
Due to widespread presence of disintegrated data in diverse platforms such as Oracle, MS-Access, MS-Excel, we are envisioning an integrated data mart which encompasses implementation of all business rules associated with FX Spot & Forward volumes related to FX Sales / Client flows that are entered via the WSS sales entry screen as well as Custody FX services activity where the associated positions are routed to the FX Market Risk Traders Spot portfolios.
Current systems are designed to produce monthly gross/net volumes and P&L reportz whose data is extracted from WSS system (Oracle RDBMS system) through a scheduled automated ETL process on a daily basis. The datz is further triaged based upon pre-determined criteria / business scenarios before it is sent over to extensive business rules engine implemented in VBA routines and queries on MS-Access / Excel platform.
The complex process of netting currency volumes and segregating data flows is performed in this rules engine before the final reports are staged on the Sharepoint server for distribution to Sr.Management team.
Complex process flows have been analyzed and documented and implemented in relavant technology framework. Currently evaluating an application called SEAT report which determines volumes and revenues associated with Risk trading for StateStreet operations for both Custody and sales trading.

Job Title: Senior Database Administrator
Start Date of Employment: June 2009 to June 2010
Type of Business: Consumer mortgage & credit analytics Division

I was involved in the creation of end user applications by aggregating mortgage loan data captured from various legacy systems. I was independently responsible for architecture, design and implementation of the system which extracts loan data from various data sources (External files, database and legacy systems).

As the legacy systems are being retired end of the year, many service providers (GMAC, Morgan Stanley, FTN, Countrywide, Green point) transition to new service providers and going forward the data is fed into multiple systems externally and as such the new application process we are building captures information from both external and internally serviced loan data and creates reports for the senior management.

I have created a stand alone custom import process which imports data from heavily loaded text and excel files in various file formats (.txt, .xls, .csv fie formats) into a central repository database while filtering the data based on required data elements much before data is imported. The technology being used to implement the process is MS-Access, SQL, Visual Basic, VBScript and VBA where as current legacy and database systems are implemented in Oracle and SQL platforms. The reporting system was built in MS-Access and Excel and some of the reports in SQL Reporting services as well.

New York life investment Management (NYLIM) administer 63 mutual funds and provide custody, accounting, reporting and administration services. NYFTI database extracts yield, money market data and perform yield calculations and data will be used to create 7 outbound customized extract files defined by client and delivered via secured FTP by 6:30 PM nightly.

NYFTI Access database takes in FACTS FUND (FN1), Holdings,(HLD), General Ledger(GLX), SMAC and tax lo holdings(DTL). These extracts are pulled into the Access database application daily. The users will then manually update the NYFTI database with reset dates for variable rate securities. After all the data is entered and imported, the users will calculate the weighted average maturity (WAM) using a function within NYFTI application. This information is then combined with the current day fund information to calculate the various yield figures required by NYLIM. This includes current yield, current un-reimbursed yield, effective yield, and effective un-reimbursed yield. Seven customized extracts files are created using the fund data based on fund type. The extract files are sent to NYLIM via FTP. The primary goal of this application is to provide the client NYLIM, accurate and timely data they require to feed into their internal PACE system.
