Project – Blue Cross of North Eastern Pennsylvania (Data Migration – Health Insurance)

Challenge & Solution
Confidential,wanted to move data from legacy system (mainframe) to SQL Server database. This was necessary since migrating to SQL Server would ease reporting. The data from the IBM mainframe was sequentially taken out in flat text files and through a VB interface, data was entered into SQL Server database through a series of stored procedures.
Responsibilities

Participated in Data Mapping between the DB2 database tables and SQL Server tables for different modules.
Wrote code for class modules and stored procedures, in order to dynamically create and populate various tables.
Worked on automation script for functional and integration testing of different modules of migration suite using QTP.
Compared and analyzed data and reported and fixed bugs so as to enhance the migration framework to suit client needs.

Project – Brinker International (System Consolidation – Retail)

Challenge & Solution
Confidential, runs several popular restaurants, and each of the concepts ran their own ordering system with different design of the front end (VB) and back end (SQL Server), leading to maintenance issues. Data Migration was done to prepare common version of database across all concepts. Common version of ordering form was also prepared.
Responsibilities

Enhanced code of various modules of the project using VBA, and designed components of framework.
Updated queries, so as to update ordering form with correct information based on the concept used.
Executed the batch of keyword scripts, logged, tracked bugs using defect tracking tool and analyzed the result.

Project – Daktronics (Development & Testing – Golf Software)

Challenge & Solution

Dakstats 3000, which provide accurate, pertinent, real time sports scoring and statistical data needed to be enhanced. The data was entered using UI in the form of grid and generated report to compare performances.

Responsibilities

Developed the report generating modules of the project and the user interface module of the project.
Enhanced the framework code per client requirement and performed regression testing.
