• For the Confidential , Confidential re-architected and programmed a Batch Print system written in Word.Basic with Confidential into a scalable, multi-process PowerBuilder application with Confidential Automation to print more than 30,000 various collection letters per day to debtors and their cohorts. This achievement allowed the department to migrate from the unsupported Windows XP legacy platform to Windows 7 while also achieving a gross reduction in errors and a 2-3 fold increase in performance and productivity.
• He also provided the proofs of concept that the Web Services could be consumed by WPF and Windows Form applications.
• Confidential redesigned and rewrote a faxing application at the Confidential, San Francisco, CA, which remediated several show stopping bugs which were discovered after a PowerBuilder version upgrade. The redesign also delivered a massive performance increase which allowed the fax application to complete in less than 30 minutes as opposed to 7-8 hours.
• Confidential, Columbia City, IN, the company lost a critical hard drive which contained all of the build files for their production Steel Mill Control System software package. This placed the company in the dubious position of having an executable system which they could no longer make changes to. The company contracted Confidential as a Lead PowerBuilder developer but, after learning of his proficiency in “C” programming, the company Vice President asked him to take on the task of creating a build system. This was an enormous task which required the creation of a build system for 3,485 source files, with no documentation. Confidential assessed the complete system and application and designed a method to reduce its memory footprint along with rewriting the communications section of the application to use sockets instead of serial communications.
