Responsibilities:

Install, upgrade, configure and administer SQL Server in clustered and standalone environments.
Provide Production Database Support.
Provide support for BI tools (SSIS / SSRS).
Provide client/server and web application development using MS SQL Server and Windows.
SQL performance tuning utilizing industry standard tools and tracing software.
Create procedures, database triggers and table creation scripts.
Database optimization and replication strategies
Create scripts for database administration, maintenance and performance improvements.
Provide Sybase adaptive server front end support for analysts and client service users.
Maintain the front end reporting tools which are custom built.
Installation and maintenance of custom built and user requested applications and maintenance of applications.
Troubleshooting application issues and application connectivity issues to SQL or Sybase.
Create and maintain SQL backups and restores.
Replication.
Implement Disaster recovery for SQL databases.
Upgrade SQL servers and databases. Assess and develop long - term strategic goals for production databases in conjunction with data owners and department managers.
Work with application development staff to develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedures.
Create models for new database development and/or changes to existing ones.
Install and configure relevant network components to ensure database access as well as database consistency and integrity.
