MSBI Technical Lead
Responsibilities:
- Developed SSIS packages for the entire Business Model. Approx. 50 SSIS packages developed in 3 phases.
- Configured SSIS packages through Project and Package parameters and created Environment Variables in the Integration Services Catalog to enable the packages to read values dynamically from the Environment, a feature available only with SSIS 2012. Earlier the packages used SSIS configuration tables if it was to be dynamically configured.
- This had a loophole as the tables could be read and the sensitive data passwords were at risk.
- So, environment variables replaced SQL server configuration tables.
- Developed Master Package with Sequence containers with all the SSIS packages inside them with precedence constraints.
- The main idea to have the Master Package was to enable the execution of the SSIS packages in parallel to save time and enhance performance.
- Deployed the SSIS 2012 packages to the Integration Services Catalog and created a SQL job to trigger the Master package that in turn triggered rest of the SSIS packages.
- Migrated the entire SSIS solution through the Project Deployment Model available only with SSIS 2012 using the. isapc file.
- Developed SSAS MOLAP Cube on top of the Datawarehouse for Reporting purposes.
- The Excel Pivot table reports were used for Cube Reporting purpose which were then deployed to the SharePoint for Business Users.
