CUSTOMER EMAIL/EFAILURE NOTIFICATION SYSTEMS
In charge of E*TRADE’s (ADP’s biggest e-notification customer) Trade Confirmation, Statement Notification, 1099/1099-Correction Notification, and 5498/5498-Correction Notification email systems. Responsible for making the monthly changes to the HTML templates that produce these email notifications and for the daily maintenance of the mainframe systems supporting E*TRADE e-notifications. CUSTOMERACCOUNT SYSTEM – BANK ONE MERGER PROJECT
- Provided the analyses, design, and coding, testing, and implementation support to both bridge and integrate data between 4 different Customer Information computer systems, the Customer Account System (JP Morgan Chase), the Customer Information System (Bank One), the GES Credit Customer System (JP Morgan Chase), and the Client Central System (JP Morgan Chase). Responsibilities included writing special MIS, bridge, and conversion software to integrate these 4 customer systems as part of the Bank One merger with JP Morgan Chase. Also supported the decommissioning of the Customer Account System. (CICS, IMS, SQL, COBOL, JCL, MVS Batch) and implementation of the new Client Central System (Oracle, UNIX).
NDS ACCOUNT SYSTEM
- Provided the analyses, design, and coding, testing, and implementation support for the NDS (DDA) GID Project, an enhancement that allows accounting roles to be assigned to responsible bank employees and to expand the Bank Organization database by integrating new data coming from the HR systems (CICS, IMS, DB2, SQL, COBOL, JCL, MVS Batch).
- Provided hands-on programming and analysis support of both enhancements to the Customer Account System and the special integration work required merging J.P. Morgan data into the Chase Customer Account System (CICS, VSAM, IMS, SQL, COBOL, JCL, MVS Batch). Also, created new batch interface

- Led the maintenance team in providing 24/7 support for a number of critical banking systems because of my expertise in these systems. These included the General Ledger system, the Cash Accounting system (including the DDA system), the Cash Statement system, the Overnight Investment System, the Daily Cash Transactions Tracking system, the Cash Interest Processing and Interest Adjustments system, and the Transaction Fees billing system.
- Devoted last four months with the bank to the development of a new sophisticated International Client Reporting statement system for Private Banking (COBOL, DB2, IMS, VSAM, Oracle8I).
- Led a team in the design, development, and implementation of a new kind of consolidated bank statement for the Private Banking clients who maintained overnight investment accounts. The success of this project allowed the bank officers to better retain old customers and attract new customers (COBOL, DB2, IMS, CICS, VSAM, JCL).
- Designed, developed, and successfully implemented new interest processing enhancements for both commercial and private banking accounts that allowed bank officers to negotiate and customize interest rates at the account level (COBOL, IMS, CICS, JCL).
- Led a group of consultants in the design, development, and implementation of special programs that allowed for the smooth transfer to Cash Accounting and Statement systems of over 5,000 Latin American clients bought from Chase (COBOL, IMS, CICS, VSAM, JCL). The success of this project allowed Private Banking to significantly increase both their assets and profits.
- Led team in the upgrade of the bank’s account history system to meet the requirements of the bank’s controllers. This project allowed controllers to improve their corporate MIS systems (COBOL, IMS, CICS, VSAM, JCL)
- Project leader of the Cash team of 3 employees and 2 consultants involved in the expansion of the bank’s general ledger code numbers from 3 digits to 5 digits (involved complex conversions and extensive programming changes). This project allowed the bank to better track its assets and liabilities and met the needs of the rapidly expanding bank business (COBOL, IMS, CICS, VSAM, JCL).
- Project leader who designed, developed, and successfully implemented a new fee system for commercial banking that allowed the bank officers to customize fees at the customer level and automate fees charged monthly. The implementation of this system saved the bank millions of dollars in labor costs and the new customization features allowed the commercial bankers to quintuple fee profits (COBOL, DB2, IMS, CICS, VSAM, JCL). - Led the integration of UBS Warburg’s U.S. General Ledger system with UBS Warburg’s Global General Ledger system. The success of this project allowed UBS Warburg to expand its general ledger capabilities in the U.S.A. and to add new Canadian general ledger capabilities (COBOL, DB2, IMS, CICS, JCL).
- In charge of consultants responsible for the testing and certification of the bank’s back-office accounting and reporting systems as Y2K ready. The success of this project allowed the bank to continue business as usual from the first day of January going forward with no interruptions (COBOL, DB2, IMS, VSAM, CICS, JCL).
- Project leader of the Cash team that successfully split the accounting systems between Stamford and New York when the investment and commercial divisions of the bank moved to Stamford. This allowed Private Banking to continue with business as usual in New York and maintain customer satisfaction (COBOL, DB2, IMS, VSAM, CICS, JCL).
