Confidential is an application which provides a platform for students to take various academics tests. It has both web and mobile interface. Confidential involves various actors such as Student, Teacher, Mentor, Publishers, Admin. Confidential is an application with medium complexity and has more than 100 functionalities and several business rules, reports.
I was part of QA testing team which had 4 testers. Confidential had very aggressive timeline for the launch. My work involved daily interaction with the business analyst, developers and project manager. During initial phase of project, I reviewed high level requirements to understand the requirements and desired functionalities. I logged more than 100 valid static test defects on BRD. I wrote more than 300 functional test cases to test the functional areas that were assigned to me. We used HP QC to write the test cases. For several test cases, I wrote SQL queries to check the results. I logged defects in QC and assigned them to developers. I did regular follow up with developers to ensure that high priority defects are resolved in timely manner. At times, I conducted triage calls with the stakeholders to win agreement on priorities of some of the defects. I used QC to log, track and monitor defects.

Confidential was a web based application to provide various service providers a platform to provide install deals. Confidential had both web and android based application. Confidential application was used by some of the restaurants in California. It allowed Restaurants to add last minute deals on some of the menu items which sent alerts to all the local subscribers who had signed for deal alerts.
I was responsible for QA testing of web application. My work involved collaborating with business analyst and developers. Developers were based in offshore. My work involved regular conference calls with offshore team. I performed testing in Internet Explorer and Firefox. I had to ensure that all fields and buttons rendered correctly on both browsers in different resolution settings. I wrote more than 250 test cases and raised more than 50 valid test defects. We were able to release a stable application in production on time.
