Software Specialist Resume Profile

Profile
- I enjoy developing software to meet the most critical needs of my employer. Good software requires much attention to detail to maximize the efficiency gained by using computers. Seeing users gain confidence in implementing business processes, through the use of well-designed and well-written software, is a source of great satisfaction for me in the workplace.
- As my resume shows, I have experience in many areas of information technology as a result of implementing whatever is required of my fellow associates to improve the business processes wherever I have been employed.
- For example, while working for FHP/Bosch Group, I created and designed an SQL Server database used initially for the implementation of a sales reporting SSAS database which I designed and implemented. End users now create their own standard and ad hoc sales reports.
- The SQL Server database was later enhanced to support the automated update of field failure data in an Excel spreadsheet used by Bosch worldwide. Our site was the only site to fully automate the entry of this data. I also added additional tools to the spreadsheet using VB script to assist the user when doing deeper data analysis.
- The products that FHP/Bosch Group sell have, with options included, over a trillion possible configurations. The director of engineering developed a way to ensure that the configuration created from selecting options was valid. I added more tables to the SQL Server database and I developed and implemented a set of SQL server procedures as part of a C project I also developed to enable this concept to be moved from an Excel spreadsheet to a database application.
- Using linked servers, I also designed and implemented SQL server procedures to provide an automated interface between our SQL Server database and a vendor's SQL server database for an application which allows our customers to configure our product using the internet.
- Many more pages would be required to describe all of the innovations I've implemented using
- Websphere and COBOL and if I did you would see the same pattern of my skills in developing creative solutions, and I hope to continue doing this work with your company.
- Thanks in advance for your consideration of my application.

Main project consisted of developing a new system of assigning consumers with late payments to collectors based on recommendations from Ford Motor Credit.
