In this role I am an IT generalist. Since mid-2012 I have had architecture responsibility for over 30 products/services spanning the spectrum from Web-based products to desktop software from software deployed within the customer environment to software deployed in our data center and in the cloud both Azure and AWS from rich user interfaces to RESTful services. These products/services are written in diverse languages from C C C and Java to Perl Delphi and VB and use diverse database technologies from SQL Server Oracle and MySQL to MarkLogic. Some are proprietary custom-built software solutions while others highly leverage COTS software. Some are new strategic systems where I created the architecture from scratch and others are older legacy systems where I have helped reduce millions of dollars in operating expenses. At its peak the portfolio under my architectural control brought in 1B in annual revenue with over 250 assigned developers.

In this position I was the architect technical lead and manager. Managed a team of very experienced engineers.

For first 6 months of this assignment team was assigned to a fledgling product while the existing engineering team was reassigned . Transitioned knowledge from the existing team built a brand new team and delivered features and stability in two rapid succession releases. As stated by my director The team released more feature functionality in the first two quarters of 2008 than the prior team had in all of 2007.
