Responsibilities:

  • Redesigned the corporate Random Order Number Generator by replacing the formulaic equations with a new algorithm that reduced the duplicates experienced on a first attempt to produce a unique order number from 80% to 26% and reduced the number of re-tries by 88%.
  • Wrote the technical design as a co-lead and also developed a major enhancement for the company’s create order process. The project improved the success rate of processing orders by allowing for the first time, multi-NPA-NXX line requests containing partial errors received from front-end applications by giving mainframe back-end systems the ability to successfully order complete other existing lines within the same request.
  • As the technical lead, designed a solution for the elimination of 1 year contract offers on all devices for specific customer types on equipment upgrades and new activations.
