• My primary duties were customizing MAPICS RPG applications to fit teh unique requirements of teh Company and to write RPG application interface programs to interact wif a SYBASE database. Teh code included RPG III, RPG/LE wif embedded SQL, and RPG Free. me also wrote and modified CL procedures wif some containing embedded SQL procedures.
• Wrote many EXCEL reports. VB Macro code was used to extract data from multiple Databases (DB2400, SQL Server, ORACLE etc.).
• Performed second and third level halp desk problem resolution supporting applications dat utilize multiple databases and teh MAPICS ERP Application. (AS/400 DB2-400, SYBASE, ORACLE, SQL- SERVER) Maximo halp desk software was utilized for work order reporting. Applications followed SDLC guidelines.
• Wrote an RPG application to transfer local MAPICS G/L, A/P and A/R data to and from teh corporate headquarters for month end processing. Teh application required a Chart of Accounts translation for data being transferred both ways.
• Designed, wrote, and implemented an RPG automated application for near real time entry of parts into MAPICS inventory. These parts are cut wif a Trumph CO2 Laser utilizing PEP nesting software.
• Member of a team dat installed Laser etching equipment to create 2D Data Matrix barcodes for marking inventory parts. This effort was implemented for conforming wif DOD reporting requirements to submit serialized parts data to teh DOD UID registry.
• Designed and implemented in RPG, an inventory tracking application dat feeds a MAPICS ERP. This application utilizes barcode labels and wireless handheld devices to track material from teh receiving dock to being placed on teh end product. This application ran on teh AS/400 APACHE Web Server.
