Solution Architect/Tech Lead

Responsibilities:

  • Designed and developed several enhancement initiatives for this manufacturer of industrial coatings to provide customizations to the Oracle E-Business Suite 11i modules OM, WIP, Advanced Pricing, PO and AP: The projects included:
  • Project to enhance the precious metal sales order processing: Since the precious metal prices change every market day, the amount invoiced to the customer is based on the precious metal price on the day the order is shipped and not when the order was booked.
  • A custom screen is developed where users can enter the prices for various markets, currencies and metals, which are then used to insert/update the prices on hundreds of price lists using backend PL/SQL packages.
  • Order line workflow has been customized to block the shipped line from fulfillment. A custom concurrent program re-prices the shipped lines with the latest prices and progresses the line to invoicing.

  • The return sales order is linked to a WIP job which consumes the return item and produces various precious metals through refining process. A custom program then goes through the completed WIP job and determines the amounts of metals recovered and splits them between customer lot and manufacturer lot through inventory material transactions.
  • Design and development of a system to record and track the serial numbers that customers transmit along with an order.
  • An interface is developed to import the orders and attach the serial numbers to the orders.
  • A custom screen is developed which helps the users scan and verify the serial numbers at the time of booking. Another custom screen lets the users assign the serial number to various departments during the processing of WIP job that is auto created from the order.
