• The last method that I would like to mention here is the way our team maintains the business continuity site for CTI. We use a custom scripted process that compresses and then moves production transaction logs throughout CTI’s enterprise infrastructure. We accomplish this by first taking a transaction log backup, from the production OLTP environment every five minutes, we then move this log locally and restore to another production server for a local redundant copy and also compress a copy of this log for shipment to a DR site for almost instant recovery in the event of a DR incident being declared at our primary site. This entire process is a custom scripted process supported internally by the DBA team.
