PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Finite Element Analysis
Confidential
Responsibilities:
- Created a 3D model of a Connecting Rod of a 4 stroke engine using SolidWorks.
- Investigated the compressive forces acting in the Connecting Rod under different loading conditions.
- Compared FEA values gathered from the static structural analysis of connecting rod using ANSYS wif the values of two different materials to find the optimum one, considering factor of safety and life cycle.
- Assisted senior design engineer in creating 3D models of Sparx 24” cycle frame from engineering drawing.
- Created the 3D assembly model of the cycle frame from the mitered tube using bottom-up approach in SolidWorks.
- Performed static structural analysis for the cycle frame using RBE3 entity in ANSYS to verify the structural acceptability of the frame created for prototyping and testing.
- Documented the drawing, model and analysis results for product approval and prototyping.
- Closed loop position control of a DC Servo motor using a position feedback sensor and PWM output signal in conjunction wif an H-bridge amplifier circuit, and Arduino.
- Created a 4x4 quadrature incremental encoder and interfaced the signal from the Opto-interrupter to Arduino through an H-bridge made of IRF511 and IRF9520 (MOSFET).
- Programmed a PID control algorithm that can be used to control the position or velocity of the DC Servo motor.
