Roles and Responsibilities:

Main Role : Maintenance of MQ Objects.

The Architecture has MQ running on the servers. Customer requests us to create Queue mangers objects and troubleshooting. For installation we need to co-ordinate with other teams operating from the client side. As primary responsible for MQ my task is to monitor MQ configuration.

System Administration.

Administration of Applications running on WAS 5.1 The WAS is running on both Windows and UNIX clustered environment. Network Deployment manager running on windows through which we can administer. The node agent in place to control and monitor servers from ND.

Deployment and configuration.

Our task is to take care of deployment of application. The customers provide us with the .EAR or .WAR file along with the configuration details. Like data source names, jndi names updation, jms MQ settings, JDBC setting and JVM settings. We coordinate with onsite team for installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
