I modified scripts written with Visual Basic(VB) running on client machines that interfaced with the mainframe servers due to the removal of the Install/1 product. I was directly involved in reverse engineering of the Install/1 (TSYS/1) elimination project for a major Credit Bureau\'s billing application. This project was required due to the technical obsolescence of an embedded infrastructure product. This involved having expert knowledge of MVS, CICS, COBOL, Expeditor, FileAid, DB2, and SQL on a mainframe. I used Expeditor extensively to test all program changes and debug any problems with new or existing code. I used the CEDA, CECI, CEMT commands as well as other CICS commands in this project also my BMS knowledge and CICS command level knowledge proved valuable as well. I was involved in another client server aspect of FTPing files to an outside customer. I have assisted as a CICS System programmer as needed during this project. I also assisted with installation and debugging of Endevor for future use when the changed code goes into production. We have used SPUFI and QMF on this project but have mostly relied upon FILEAID as our DB2 tool. I created REXX programs to facilitate more expedite methods of accomplishing repetitive tasks such as doing compiles and mass changes.
