EXPERIENCE:

Develop and implement a web based database application for the FAA en-route controllers to support their tasks. The application, ERIDS, is in use at all en-route centers across the United States and provides a touch screen interface for controllers to bring up a variety of documents PDF or HTML , charts PDF or JPG and data retrieved based on simple search criteria. ERIDS interfaces with the FAA's NAIMES to retrieve and process Notice to Airmen system , NOTAM, message data. The NOTAM detail is presentedto the controllers based on either simple search criteria or is automatically based on predetermined criteria. The ERIDS utilizes a combination of ColdFusion, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, Java, AJAX, XML and PERLscripts to deliver the data to the controllers. I have been involved with the ERIDS project during my time with CSC and have developed both front-end screen web pages and back-end PL/SQL stored procedures for the project. I have been involved in developing the database design used and implementing the data flow within ERIDS. I have guided and assisted fellow programmers on the ERIDS task, reviewing designs and suggesting potential solutions to development challenges. Maintain a JAVA applet that is part of ERIDS. The JAVA applet provides an entry and update capability some adaptable screens in ERIDS.

Develop ed and implemented Oracle SQL scripts, Oracle forms and Oracle reports for an Oracle Client Server application running on a Sun Server. The forms and reports are designed to run on Microsoft Windows environments.

Developed several web applications using MS SQL Server and Access database. Designed the databases structures and table relationships. Developed Oracle forms for maintenance of product information on a HP 9000. Wrote Oracle packages to build data sets used by a Visual Basic system. The Visual Basic system displayed financial information holdings, shares outstanding, price, unadjusted and adjusted histories of performance over past year/5 year, etc. and graphs representing performance on companies which are LF traded on the stock exchanges. The packages computed the financial and graphical information into data sets used by the Visual Basic application. Wrote SQL and PL/SQL scripts to perform various tasks, such as validating and correcting data LF loaded weekly from external tables. Optimized the SQL scripts and PL/SQL code via explain plan s to minimize running time. Some of the tables had approximately 10,000,000 rows and optimization was critical. Designed an Oracle Developer client-server application. Designed the database structure, primary keys, foreign keys. Analyzed the existing capabilities from the existing IBM VM mainframe application and also new capabilities to be incorporated into the new application. Developed a Microsoft Access database application to track the status of the project through the implementation plan. Wrote Forms and SQL code. Wrote requirements for the application to be developed, wrote implementation pl ans and utilized Forms and SQL to determine Developer 's capability in areas such as: row locking, and querying on detail rows in a master/detail relation.

Developed a database application for the Department of Energy using client-server with Oracle Developer. The application consists of several tasks being tracked. The tasks were: the Department of Energy's information on their facilities, all work being performed at the facilities by contractors, the latest review of the sites safeguards and security, any security problems at the sites and what is being done to correct them. This task was previously performed on an IBM VM mainframe in another database application. The new Oracle client/server application incorporates all old capabilities and added many new ones.

Designed, coded and implemented several Clipper 5.0 database applications. Maintained an Oracle Forms 2.x application on an IBM VM mainframe. Received in-house training on Oracle Forms. Designed, coded, implemented and maintained a IBM VM mainframe database application. Coded the application based on two existing mainframe applications and then made extensive enhancements to track and analyze additional information the client wished incorporated into the application.
