Academic Projects:

Using SAS-JMP, predicted the top 200 revenue generating coupons for Confidential year data with revenue from each coupon category. Using the Sample, Explore, Modify approach of Confidential methodology, prepared the data for modeling and assessment. Several models including neural net, logistic regression, decision tree and ensemble models were then applied to predict the target variable.
Using R, created a predictive model for data on AIDS patients Various predictors such as Transmission Category, Geography, Sex, Observation period were used to predict response variable 'Status alive/dead ' of the patient.Relationships between variables were explored by plotting graphs and Confidential tau measure. Following predictive models were built on training set, compared with validation set for overfitting and tested on holdout set of data - OLS linear model, Generalized linear model and Tree based classification regression models.
Using SAS Text Miner, performed Sentiment Analysis of movie reviews from Rotten Tomatoes- Classified movie reviews as good or bad, based on presence of positive or negative words.Data was parsed and filtered using SAS nodes to keep only relevant words or phrases. Cluster node was used to group mutually exclusive words/phrases. Finally, various models neural net, regression, decision tree, MBR were built to analyze and predict the good/bad movie reviews.
Using Tableau, predicted potential customers for a Bank for a cross-sell product Business case was to convert bank's liability customers to Personal Loan customers. Data cleansing involved geocode branching, reshaping, new variable creation, outlier treatment etc. Dashboards were designed to explore relationships between different dimensions. Geocoding was done tovisualize geographical distribution of income and account types to help the bank decide regions to target.

Handled Databases Oracle and Message queues through UNIX/LINUX to support a large Confidential Telecom service provider.
Daily interaction with databases included querying using SQL, managing accesses and troubleshooting database runtime errors.
Developed a Monitoring Dashboard using HTML,JavaScript and LINUX Shell scripts to capture health status of all applications Databases, trigger mails to 'support team' and mark in issue tracker if threshold was reached.
Automated the process of bouncing message queues and databases using Shell scripts. Extended the functionality to be used from front end using JavaScript and HTML.
