- Interacted with the Business stakeholders to gather requirements for building Tableau Workbooks for the Customer Care and Billing application.
- Used the Tableau Start Page to connect to Oracle 10g Database. Used the Data Source Page Left Pane, Canvas Pane, Data Grid and Metadata Grid Pane to create a Metadata with sorted data, hidden fields, duplicate fields and hierarchies for fields. - Filtering of data for the view was done on Filter Shelf, with Quick Filters or in the view, Legends with Keep only or Exclude options. Filtering was done for pill types of Dimensions, Measures or Date fields with their relative options with filter shelf or as interactive filter.
- Parameters where added for interactivity and flexibility to a workbook by end user and were incorporated in filters, sets, line and calculated fields.
- Grouped data represented by paperclip icon in data pane was generated in visualization by picking marks or headers. Grouping of data was also done from data pane. Visualizations were based on aggregations of grouped members and others for non-grouped members.
- Constant Sets were created from marks on view. Dynamic Sets were created form dimensions applying conditions, general list or Top N. Combined sets with same dimensions were created using Venn Diagrams. And used in color with IN/OUT for color.
- Prepared metadata with hierarchies so that a view could be drilled down to lower levels of details. Drilldowns were also done on date fields both as discrete and continues dates using Tableau’s inbuilt functionality for drilldown on dates.
- Sorting of data was done on view by Quick sort or sort on header/legends or by sort at pill.
- Dashboards were created of automatic size with horizontal and vertical layout container containing text, images, web-pages apart from Tableau worksheets. Titles of dashboard/worksheets were turned on or off. Filters and Legends were appropriately added for complete dashboard. And for some dashboards even the views on the dashboard were made to act as filter.
- Stories with story points with worksheets and dashboards were made for sequential presentation.
