SUMMARY:

Over 9 years of diverse experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Requirements Gathering, Data Analysis, Data base/Data Warehouse design (Data Modeling), Enterprise Architecture, Performance Tuning, Development, Multi dimensional Reporting in various line of businesses like, Financial, Banking, Health Care, Property-Casualty Insurance, Data Centers etc., using major commercial database engines like, Oracle, MS SQL Server, and Sybase.
Gather the business requirements and identify the data sources, performing the data analysis (Data Quality and Data Profiling) and then transform them to Technical Specification Document for the Development team and to the end users.
Design and build complex Entity Relationship Diagrams for transactional relational databases and Dimensional modeling Diagrams for Data warehouses and Data Marts. (UML, Conceptual, Logical and Physical Data models)
Define and implement the enterprise level standards like Data Dictionary, Metadata Management, Naming conventions.
Design Data strategies for data acquisitions, data quality issues, data loading, and data recovery.
Provide direction to DBA’s to build the physical databases to that scope of the project.
Provide and in-depth expertise in implementing the Data Governance programs or initiatives.
Provide Source to Target Mapping Matrix document to the development team. The document contains the SQL, PLSQL or TSQL commands or the Logic and also the Unix commands for the automated process of loading on timely basis.
Perform the code reviews and testing the application code.
Very good knowledge and experience in using Loading tools like Informatica Power center, data Stage, Data Integrator, MS SSIS etc., and also Data base utilities like SQL Loader, DTS etc.,
Data Reporting - Business IntelligenceDevelopment of complex business intelligence reports using the dashboards, drill down, aggregation, and lookup capabilities.Very good understanding and experience of using the mega commercial tools like Business Objects, Crystal Reports, and Tableau.
Monitor performance of the database tables in the VLDB environments.
Perform the performance tuning methods at query level by running the EXPLAIN PLAN and implementing partitioning, indexing, handling inserts, updates and deletes in Data warehouse environments.
