  • Have all the services available almost all the time possible (High Availability implemented in over internal production environment).
  • Take care about all the services (WAS, WMQ, DB2, Linux, networking, etc.)
  • Reduce the response timings for builds, deploys and issues, Delegate some activities to be done during India Shift and they are done before business hours (I really love to work with India team their shift is great, we can forward a lot of work).

  • My principal role is to give support to all develop teams into the organization with the DEV and QA environments.

  • All this apps are interconnected thru WebSphere MQ infrastructure, so I give support to Websphere MQ infrastructure too.
  • We have 2 queue managers per db server it means 4 queue managers per environment.
  • Each Application at least has10 queues including remote and local queues.

Over these servers I installed a Websphere application server 8 ND and Websphere application server 7 ND and I migrated from Webpshere application 6.1 ND to Webpshere Application server 8 and for the new applications I federated the WAS7 node to WAS8 Dmgr to handle the cluster between mixed version nodes, 13 of 43 applications are running on cluster mode, I managed the Websphere and the linux systems and I took care everything related about the applications that they are running on the Websphere plataform, I worked with oracle databases for the applications, I worked with a six sigma methodology on all processes related with the operation.
