Responsibilities:

Implemented a full-volume flashcopy of 25 prod databases from an SMS managed multi-volume DASD pool to test using the ADRDSSU utility. This involved a deep understanding of the space mapping used by DB2 and required several REPAIR utilities to reset the LEVELID and adjust the DBID/PSID on the target tablespace.
Performed proof-of-concept review of several vendor written data-masking software products to protect sensitive data. Developed 12 scoring criteria in order to compare/grade the vendors selected on cost, speed, accuracy and ease-of-use.
Cloned eight new test regions to assist the new Claims Administration System (CAS) and Policy Administration System (PAS) development efforts. Since KFB had no purchased tools like Platinum or BMC, I installed the DB2LOOK freeware REXX package and made necessary modifications to suit our environment.
Converted all SQL-compiled stored procedures to v9 native stored procedures. In order to assist with this I wrote a panel-driven REXX to manage store procedure replication with automatic backup and variable customization using edit macros.
