Senior Technical Writer

• Responsible for all internal and external technical documentation, including the documentation set for Peach, their fuzzing product.

Documentation Specialist

• Responsible for Community Health Plan of Washington CHPW Data Dictionary content. Used Embarcadero ER Studio Data Architecture to reverse engineer the CHPW data mart and create/update the data dictionary, models with attribute definitions, dimension definitions, and SQL code used to create the tables.
• Project Manager for the CMS Part C and D Audits. Managed a diverse group of business owners, developers, business analysts, operations staff members, external providers, and company executives. Was the primary interface between the external CMS-certified auditors and CHPW. Successfully produced all the required products and outputs and met all auditor and CMS-imposed deadlines. Created or edited all the audit documentation. Provided frequent project status at the executive level.

Senior Technical Writer

• Responsible for all CONNX technical documentation. Wrote or updated all external and internal documentation including user guides, installation guides, deployment guides, and quick reference guides. Produced Microsoft HTML Help, WebHelp, and PDF content.
• Worked with Marketing to modernize the CONNX website and create more timely content. Usability-tested the CONNX website and made design suggestions that were implemented in the next release.

Program Manager and Technical Writer

• Process Improvement Analyst in the Technical and Strategic Communications Team TSC , a part of the Windows Hardware and Driver Quality Group via a vendor contract . Recorded the processes used by the DDK, HCT, Editing and Communities groups to produce their documentation. Interviewed key members of all teams and examined group processes and procedures. Worked with the groups and the entire team to look for present or potential common processes and help them design any writing tools to be developed so they were flexible enough to meet multiple unit needs.

Writer and Process Improvement Specialist

• Usability Engineer for the Google Interface implementation project, designed to replace the company's prior search tool with a custom interface that uses Google as the search engine. Researched available literature to create participant questionnaire, helped run subjects through tests, analyzed results and presented to clients.
• Converted 700-page 5 introductory chapters, 300 commands, 6 appendices, and a 13-page index EIS a proprietary programming language Language Reference Manual from a confusing and inconsistent format in Word 95 to FrameMaker 6 using consistent, sensible formats. This was my first experience using FrameMaker.
• Responsible for all EIS documentation for the last four mainframe releases and last two PC releases. This included creating two new EIS user manuals and redoing the Quick Reference Guide.
• Technical Editor for company-wide projects.
• Created process, program, and instructional documentation and templates for the 300-person Factory Architecture redesign project. Technical Editor for all documents created by team members.
• Completed the SEPG training program two years and was the SEI-CMM trainer and consultant for the company-wide software development organization.
• Project Manager for software process improvement activities in the company-wide software development organization, resulting in the organization being assessed at SEI-CMM level 2 in 2001.

• Project Manager, Human Factors Engineer and Human-Computer Interface Specialist for the Rehabilitation Learning Center RLC , a project to create an environment to improve the training provided to persons with spinal cord injuries so they could better perform their activities of daily living. Worked with physical therapists and occupational therapists at Harborview Medical Center to create a Director/Authorware training environment to be used by the patient population. Created and maintained RLC internal documentation as well as all marketing, promotional, and external documents.
• Project Manager and Usability Engineer for the Native Women's Health Care Training Directive. Worked with epidemiologists at the University of Washington Medical Center and the University of New Mexico to create an online and seminar training environment as well as documentation in PageMaker for Native American/Alaska Native/Native Hawaiian women who are health care professionals.
